A group of singles -- an equal number of men and women -- gather at a comfortable meeting place chosen by the organizers.
The chosen environment is filled with tables and one man and one woman are paired up and they have 3 minutes to chat. Participants are also given a list of suggested topics to help break the ice. Basically, you can ask your date anything except his or her age, real name, occupation and place of residence (ie. No personal questions!). The idea is to focus on what the person is really like.
At the end of 3 minutes, a bell rings and all dates come to a halt. Participants are asked to write on a form if they would be interested in seeing this person again. If yes, the participant simply places a check mark beside the Username of the other person on the form and gives it to the organizer at the end of the event. That's it!
Organizers let participants know within 48 hours which contacts were requested and provide the partipants with the email address of the person making the request. From thereon, it's up to you!
The men then get up from their seats and move to the next date where another woman is waiting to meet them.
After 2 hours or so of speed dating, each participant has met up to 25 (or more!) people of the opposite gender!
